There are three different ways to view these data: using graphs, tables or maps.

Graphs - to change the data in the graph choose an Area (Adelaide, country SA or SA), then an Objective and a Target.  For some Targets separate graphs are shown for the total population; Aboriginal population; or an Indigenous/ non-Indigenous comparison: for other Targets a graph is just shown for the total population.  The graph then shows the rate for the chosen Target across five equal sized groups (quintiles) in the population (where the data are available, two periods are shown to enable a comparison).  Quintile 1 represents the least disadvantaged (or most advantaged) fifth of the population.  Quintile 5 represents the most disadvantaged fifth of the population.  The ratio of the rate in Quintile 5 to that in Quintile 1 is shown on the right hand side of the figure.  A population quintile represents approximately one fifth or 20% of a whole population.

Tables - to change the data in the table choose a comparison Area (Metropolitan Adelaide, country SA or SA), then a State Region and a Target.  The table then shows the SLAs with the highest and lowest rates in the region for the chosen Target, along with the data for the State Region and the comparison Area.  For some Targets separate tables are shown for the total population and for the Aboriginal population: for other Targets a table is just shown for the total population.

Maps - can be produced for each Target.  A graph on the map page shows the average for each State Region, Metropolitan Adelaide and country South Australia.  A detailed help file can be accessed from the map page.

Note: once an Objective or Target has been selected in the Graph or Table module, you can move between Objectives and Targets with the up and down arrows on the keyboard.
