AHMS - Population in scope for the Australian Health Measurement Survey program resulting from use of the Australian Bureau of Statistics sampling method

AHMS Working Paper Series No. 6

This paper identifies the current scope of the population using the Australian Bureau of Statistics sampling method. It identifies those sub-groups that are excluded, and discusses the need to avoid exclusion of the sparsely settled areas. The paper includes a table on population estimates by ARIA category and sparsely settled areas.

The papers in the AHMS Working Paper Series were prepared by PHIDU staff as background material to the development of a national biomedical risk factor survey for Australia.
